I have found that steamvr games need to be run in vr mode at least once before it ill sho up in the rift libary.Īlso, personally I have, from before I got my quest 2, and as using my hobo vr ssetup, Rifcat 2.0 (PC) and Vridge (android). If everything was setup correctly you should see SteamVR setup and you can start configuring and playing your games. Start in your quest2, go to unknown sources in your library (use the filter in the top right) and start ALVR.
#STEAM VR INSTALL#
From there you can start Oculus and SteamVR games.ģ) ALVR: install ALVR on your quest using Sidequest and the server application on your computer. It will connect automatically to your PC If your streamer application is running on your PC. When all those steps are completed: start in the quest 2, connect to the correct wifi access point you want to use for VD and start the Virtual desktop application. Last step, be sure that you downloaded and installed the Virtual desktop Streamer application from the official website. From Sidequest you need to install the Virtual desktop patch/update. Once Virtual desktop is installed, plug your headset to your computer using a USB cable and start Sidequest. If you don't see SteamVR in your Oculus library then use the virtual desktop feature of Oculus interface and manually start a SteamVR game from your Steam library.Ģ) Virtual desktop: /!\ you need to buy virtual desktop in the Oculus Quest 2 store /!\ Version bought in Steam or in the Rift Oculus store WILL NOT WORK. From there go to library and you should have access to your games purchased on Oculus Rift store and SteamVR games. There are three ways to play SteamVR games with our Quest2:ġ) Link + Oculus software on PC: using the official cable or any compatible usb3 cable, start in the quest2 and click on Oculus Link to start a PCVR session.
